Life is a melody
Straight from the heart
Created by lovers
While they are apart
Feeling the pain
Of not being together
But melodies linger
Making each new day better...
We keep our hearts open
Our love can't erase
The sharing and caring
Through distance and space
Through good times and bad
Our love is steadfast
Telling and spelling
The facts of the past...
We hold each day dear
For our time to return
When we'll be together
We've lessons to learn
Our cards on the table
With nothing to hide
For deep down within us
Our stories abide...
We grow in our own way
And feel with our hearts
The world all around us
That never departs
For now it is spoken
By some who will say
You're different, you two
There'll never be a way...
But we follow our hearts
The choice has been made
For when true love's created
The foundation is laid
We know not what others
May think of our life
We've made our decisions
Through those times of strife...
And soon we'll have our time
Together at last
What's hoped for-desired
